Orthotics

Orthoses, more commonly known as Orthotics, are devices placed inside of your shoes to treat and prevent foot and lower limb injuries.

After a detailed assessment, our Podiatrists prescribe and make orthoses to suit your individual foot and movement patterns and activity needs. By restoring your natural foot function they can help with any injuries, imbalances and pain or discomforts in the lower limb.

People of all ages with a variety of foot and lower leg problems wear orthoses. Sports people including runners and cyclists are often prescribed orthoses to help improve efficiency, maximise performance and prevent overuse injuries. Orthoses also provide valuable long-term solutions to patients with Diabetes and Arthritic conditions by protecting and redistributing pressure of the body’s weight on the feet. They can also be prescribed to children who may have heel and knee pain associated with sports and activity.
