Frequently Asked Questions
What Services Under The NDIS Do You Offer?
As a NDIS provider, we are committed to providing you with the services that will improve your overall quality of foot and lower limb health such as general foot and nail care, biomechanical analysis, custom orthoses, nail surgery to correct any foot deformities, vascular and neurological treatment.
How Do I Book NDIS Podiatry Services?
If you have an NDIS plan and would like to book an appointment with us, give us a call or book online.
What does it mean to be an NDIS registered podiatrist?
An NDIS registered podiatrist has been approved by the National Disability Insurance Scheme to provide podiatry services to participants. This means the practice has met specific quality and safety standards set by the NDIS Commission.
Can I see you if my NDIS plan is agency managed, plan managed or self managed?
Yes. As an NDIS registered provider we can work with agency managed, plan managed and self managed participants. Our team can help you understand how podiatry fits within your plan and funding categories.
What podiatry services can be funded through the NDIS?
Depending on your goals and plan, NDIS funding may support foot care for safety and comfort, management of foot pain, treatment of skin and nail conditions, orthotics or footwear advice, and support to maintain mobility and participation in daily activities.
How do I know if podiatry is included in my NDIS plan?
Podiatry is generally funded under Capacity Building or Core Supports where it is linked to mobility, independence, participation or preventing complications. Your plan manager, support coordinator or our team can help you read your plan and clarify what is covered.
Do I need a referral to see an NDIS podiatrist?
You usually do not need a referral to see us as an NDIS participant, although we often work closely with your general practitioner, support coordinator and other health providers to keep your care aligned with your goals.
What should I bring to my first NDIS podiatry appointment?
Please bring your NDIS plan details, any recent health reports, a list of your regular medications and a few pairs of shoes that you wear most often. If you use mobility aids or orthotics, bring those as well.
How are NDIS podiatry appointments billed and paid for?
For agency managed participants we claim directly through the NDIS portal. For plan managed participants we invoice your plan manager. Self managed participants can pay on the day and claim reimbursement from the NDIS. We will explain the process before or during your first visit.
Can you help with reports and documentation for my NDIS reviews?
Yes. We can provide podiatry reports that outline your current foot health, risks, progress and recommended supports. These can assist with plan reviews and funding discussions when podiatry care is important for your goals.
How often can I see an NDIS podiatrist?
The frequency of visits depends on your needs, goals and budget within your plan. Some participants attend every six to eight weeks for foot care, while others may need more or fewer visits. We will work with you to set a schedule that fits your plan.
Do you offer home visits for NDIS participants?
Depending on your location and needs, home visits may be available and can sometimes be funded through your plan. Our team can advise whether this is an option and how it would be set up within your supports.
